Jason grew up in Ventura , CA . His interest in the culinary arts began when he started working as a barista and sandwich maker at a local coffee shop. He discovered quickly that he wanted to spend his career in the food business. He worked as a Line Cook and was soon promoted to Sous Chef at Capistrano's Restaurant at the Mandalay Beach Resort in Oxnard , CA . While at Capistrano's, Jason, not only honed is culinary skills, he also met his lovely wife.

In April 2000, he began working for Sodexo as the Executive Chef at the UC – Irvine Medical Center in southern California .

When he isn't working, Jason enjoys spending time with and cooking for his family, which includes three beautiful children, running, mountain biking and snow boarding.

Since he was young, Jason has always been fascinated with airplanes. He has taken flight lessons and even jumped out of a plane…just for fun!

Favorite Place: A small key in the Bahamas accessible only by boat.
